How To Reduce Headache

Lately I'm always having headache maybe because of this hot weather, so I've read a lot of articles regarding the ways to reduce headache and I found some easy and very useful tips to reduce it. I've found this article on Reader's Digest. Thanks and credits to Reader's Digest for this cheap and useful tips. Check it out:-

1. Press Pressure Points
There are two pressure points known to relieve headache pain. One is on your forehead. Press a thumb between your eyes while pressing down on your hairline with your first two fingers. The other pressure point is at the base of the web of flesh where the bones of your thumb and forefinger meet. Press hard with your opposite thumb.

2. Use Your Nose
Whiffs of peppermint can alleviate tension headaches. Some research, however, suggests that aromatherapy may only be useful if you like that particular smell. If you despise the odor of peppermint, try sniffing a green apple, another scent that has also had some success.

3. Sip Some Coffee
A jolt of caffeine as you feel a migraine coming on might sidetrack the attack. Try having some strong coffee, cola or a caffeine-laden energy drink.

4. Just Breathe
Learning how to relax can help combat tension, a common migraine trigger. Breathe slowly and deeply, with your eyes closed, concentrating on nothing but your breath.

5. Step Away
Go for a brisk walk. Mild exercise improves circulation, which counters the constriction of blood vessels that is a common precursor to headaches.

6. Apply Frozen Veggies
Grab a bag of frozen peas and apply it to the base of your neck while lying in a quiet, darkened room. Ice is an effective anti-inflammatory and it numbs pain—so try it on your throbbing temples, too.

7. Put Your Mind to Work
Close your eyes and imagine your pain as an object—a burning sun, perhaps—then picture it shrinking into the distance, or douse it with water, until it disappears. This technique, called visualization, takes practice but has been proven effective.

Lee Hi ~ Rose

Actually I'm not really into the K-pop fever but lately I found that certain song really make my day. I'm pretty sure everyone know this lil girl Lee Ha Yi or Lee Hi. At the age 16, for me her voice is really impressive.. This is one of my fav song. check it out.

Lee Hi : Rose Lyric ( english & romanization )

English Translation:

My love is like a red rose
It may be beautiful now
But my sharp thorns will hurt you
My love is like a red rose
Yes, I may be fragrant
But the closer you get, the more I’ll hurt you
Don’t look at me with that light glance
Don’t speak of love easily
If you want my heart, you need to take my pain too
Because you will be pricked by my thorns someday
Don’t trust me too much
You don’t know me that well yet
So just run away run away
I said ooh ooh ooh
Don’t love me
You don’t know me that well yet
I said run away just run away
Don’t come to me
My love is like a red rose
It may be beautiful now
But my sharp thorns will hurt you
My love is like a red rose
Yes, I may be fragrant
But the closer you get, the more I’ll hurt you
Seeing your confidence makes me feel so bad for you
Your confident footsteps toward me looks so pitiful today
Emotions? That’s an extravagance to me
Love? That’s Obsession’s best friend
So run away just run away
Cuz you and I must come to an end
Every rose has its thorn
Every rose has its thorn
Every rose has its thorn
Don’t trust me too much
You don’t know me that well yet
So just run away run away
I said ooh ooh ooh
Don’t love me
You don’t know me that well yet
I said run away just run away
Don’t come to me
My love is like a red rose
It may be beautiful now
But my sharp thorns will hurt you
My love is like a red rose
Yes, I may be fragrant
But the closer you get, the more I’ll hurt you

I'm Mad

Yes! Today I'm really mad.. Like seriously mad. The story begin this morning when I'm supposed going back to my sister's house at KL after my last final exam paper. You know what? I can't ever sleep the whole night because I'm really happy that finally I can back home but something happened. With my almost 30 KG of luggage (I'm not sure actually but it's really heavy~ hehe). I'm waiting for our college's bus that supposed to arrive at 4.15 pm, and I even call the bus driver before that to make sure that the bus arrive and pick me up. Guess what? Yes he didn't come and at first I thought that he's late because it's common to them to not punctually arrive according to the schedule given but I've wait there for 2 hours, 2 hours is too much I can't stand it anymore. Can you guys imagine that!!! And now I'm here in my room, I think I'll just going back tomorrow~ Sigh~

Simple Way To Housetraining And Grooming Your Cat.

■ Put a layer of litter in a tray, or use sand if your cat will eventually use outdoor facilities. For two cats, provide at least two trays.
■ Place the tray in a quiet corner, away from food and water bowls.
■ If the kitten messes on the floor, transfer the puddle or solid matter to the tray. Don’t be cross, but do it with a firm “This is where you do it.”
■ Clean the tray twice a day, using only hot water and detergent.
■ If your cat has an accident, wash the area with a 10 per cent solution of biological washing powder, spray with vinegar and scrub again.

Long-haired cats must be brushed and combed every day, to avoid matted, tangled fur and the skin problems that can result from a neglected coat. Start grooming a little and often from a young age. In all cats, fur balls can build up in the stomach, so even a short-haired cat will benefit from grooming.
■ Set aside a grooming area, with hygiene in mind – not the kitchen bench – and lay down a towel.
■ Talking gently all the time, fluff the cat’s coat with your hand then lightly brush from roots to tip in the direction of growth. Work in sections to get rid of mats or tangles, before moving on to a widetooth comb, then a fine-tooth comb.
■ If the teeth of a comb snag in the fur, go back to the previous tool.

TEA FOR BEAUTY

Recently I've read an article about the uses of tea for beauty, its really attract me. At that time I think i should share it with you guys, its really useful and easy to do. Check it out~

Cool sunburned skin
What can you do when you forget to use sunscreen and have to pay the price with a painful burn? A few wet tea bags applied to the affected skin will take out the sting. This works well for other types of minor burns (i.e., from a teapot or steam iron) too. If the sunburn is too widespread to treat this way, put some tea bags in your bathwater and soak your whole body in the tub.
Relieve your tired eyes
Revitalize tired, achy, or puffy eyes. Soak two tea bags in warm water and place them over your closed eyes for 20 minutes. The tannins in the tea act to reduce puffiness and soothe tired eyes.
Reduce razor burn
Ouch! Why didn’t you remember to replace that razor blade before you started to shave? To soothe razor burn and relieve painful nicks and cuts, apply a wet tea bag to the affected area. And don’t forget to replace the blade before your next shave.
Get the gray out
Turn gray hair dark again without an expensive trip to the salon or the use of chemical hair dyes. Make your own natural dye using brewed tea and herbs: Steep 3 tea bags in 1 cup boiling water. Add 1 tablespoon each of rosemary and sage (either fresh or dried) and let it stand overnight before straining. To use, shampoo as usual, and then pour or spray the mixture on your hair, making sure to saturate it thoroughly. Take care not to stain clothes. Blot with a towel and do not rinse. It may take several treatments to achieve desired results.
Condition dry hair
To give a natural shine to dry hair, use a quart (liter) of warm, unsweetened tea (freshly brewed or instant) as a final rinse after your regular shampoo.
Drain a boil
Drain a boil with a boiled tea bag! Cover a boil with a wet tea bag overnight and the boil should drain without pain by the time you wake up next morning.
Soothe those bleeding gums
The child may be all smiles later when the tooth fairy arrives, but right now those bleeding gums are no fun whatsoever. To stop the bleeding and soothe the pain from a lost or recently pulled tooth, wet a tea bag with cool water and press it directly onto the site.
Relieve baby’s pain from injection
Is the baby still crying from that recent inoculation shot? Try wetting a tea bag and placing it over the site of the injection. Hold it gently in place until the crying stops. The tannic acid in the tea will soothe the soreness. You might try it on yourself the next time an injection leaves your arm sore.
Dry poison ivy rash
Dry a weepy poison ivy rash with strongly brewed tea. Simply dip a cotton ball into the tea, dab it on the affected area, and let it air-dry. Repeat as needed.
Stop foot odor
Put an end to smelly feet by giving them a daily tea bath. Just soak your tootsies in strongly brewed tea for 20 minutes a day and say good-bye to offensive odors.
Make soothing mouthwash
To ease toothache or other mouth pain, rinse your mouth with a cup of hot peppermint tea mixed with a pinch or two of salt. Peppermint is an antiseptic and contains menthol, which alleviates pain on contact with skin surfaces. To make peppermint tea, boil 1 TBSP fresh peppermint leaves in 1 cup water and steep for several minutes.
Clean wood furniture and floors
Freshly brewed tea is great for cleaning wood furniture and floors. Just boil a couple of tea bags in a quart (liter) of water and let it cool. Dip a soft cloth in the tea, wring out the excess, and use it to wipe away dirt and grime. Buff dry with a clean, soft cloth.
Create “antique” fashions
Soak white lace or garments in a tea bath to create an antique beige, ecru, or ivory look. Use 3 tea bags for every 2 cups of boiling water and steep for 20 minutes. Let it cool for a few minutes before soaking the material for 10 minutes or more. The longer you let it soak, the darker the shade you will get.
Shine your mirrors
To make mirrors sparkle and shine, brew a pot of strong tea, let it cool, and then use it to clean the mirrors. Dampen a soft cloth in the tea and wipe it all over the surface of the mirrors. Then buff with a soft, dry cloth for a sparkly, streak-free shine.

8 YEARS OLD GIRL

Today I wanna share a story about my clever, matured and cute 8 years old little sister. Iman Najwa. We only have 4 siblings, my sister already worked and not staying with us anymore and me still studying and rarely returned home. My 17 years old brother is in his own world and finally lil Iman left in her own. I think because of that she tend to be very close with my Mama and Papa and more older people. In addition, our neighborhood also didn't have any same age kids as her..

Early on this year, I’m having a phone conversation with my Mama and she told me a funny yet shocking story about lil Iman. It was a week before the end of holidays and school will open soon. My Mama bring Iman to buy her new school uniform, she had to make last minute shopping because she was too busy. Unfortunately due to last minute preparation she can’t find the uniforms in her size anymore. My Mama has to go to all stores and still not found it. Maybe Iman can see her tiredness so Iman said something that make me laugh so hard..

Here’s the conversation:

Mama: Iman, Mama tak jumpa la baju Iman. Takde saiz dah.
Iman: Mama, Iman redho. Takpe pakai je baju yang tahun lepas punya, elok lagi kan…
Mama: …..
Iman: Betul, Iman tak kisah. (poker face)

Seriously I’m laughing so hard when I heard this but at the same time I’m so proud with my lil sister because at her age how can she be so mature and have adult thinking, she even can said that to my Mama. Good job Iman (thumbs up).

P/s- Dahi luka jatuh dalam longkang kat sekolah. Main tah pape. Hahahah.

Ok that's all kot, anneyonghi-gyeseyo~<3^^

Super Easy and Yummy Banana Pound Cake~

Super Easy and Yummy Banana Pound Cake

Wet Ingredients:
1 cup of mash banana
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of vegetable oil
3 eggs
1 tablespoon of vanilla extract

Dry ingredients:
2 cups of all purpose flour
1 tablespoon of baking soda
2 or 3 tablespoons of instant coffee powder
A pinch of salt
(note: To make bigger portion just doubled the ingredients)

Let’s make it:
It’s really easy to make and super delicious. I’ve tried this recipe over and over again and it never disappointed me and I think you guys should try making this too. Good luck cooking!
Firstly, mix all the wet ingredients in the mixer or you can just simply mix them using blender. At the same time mix all the dry ingredients in a big bowl. Then, pour all the mixed wet ingredients into the bowl. I like to mix them with hand so that I’ll not over mix the batter. But you can just put the dry ingredients into the mixer. It’s really simple isn’t it? Finally greased the mould, pour the batter into it, and bake them in an oven at 170 °C for about 40 minutes or poke them with toothpick if it comes out clean that’s mean your cake is cooked.

Maangchi VS Aeri's Kitchen

I'm pretty sure that some people who is interested in korean cooking must know the two people mentioned in the title above, Maangchi and Aeri. Both of them have their own cooking show, their own cooking website and cooking books as well as their own fans.

Actually it's difficult to compared who's better that who but for those who wanted to learn about Korean cooking, its a good thing to learn from both of them.

When I first learn about Korean cooking I found Maangchi's first and after that I found Aeri's kitchen. In my opinion both have their own pros and cont.

Maangchi

I love Maangchi's channel at youtube because she is really a cheerful person and she also shows her profesionalism in cooking. The video recorded the whole process, kitchen and also herself so we can really enjoy watching her cooking just like TV's cooking shows. But sometimes her recipe are too difficult because the viewers from the other country may not have the ingredients that she's using in her recipes. Besides, I really can see how beautiful and delicious her food and it's always make me drool. Her English also very good maybe because she's living in USA if i'm not mistaken. Anyway, for more information and details about her you can check it out here..
http://www.maangchi.com/
http://www.youtube.com/user/Maangchi

Aeri's kitchen

Aeri's kitchen is quite interesting too. She usually show us a very simple steps and ingredients for her recipe, I think its very convenient for those who was just learned how to cook. But it is lack of fun because she only shows her hands working and full shoot of pan on stove while explaining things to do. The most unfortunate thing that i really dislike is her Korean-English slang. when she speaking English sometimes I'm barely know either she is speaking English or Korean. I think she just need to play some music while cooking and put subtitle on the video, so that viewers will be more understand what she's saying. but overall, i can say that it's good and not bad.  For more information and details about her you can check it out here..

Magnum Chocolate Cake

I really looove to eat~ Because of that, i really love to cook as well..
When I'm on semester break, the busiest room in my house is the kitchen. I'll find any recipe that I really want to try and I'll do it with my cute lil sis as my co-chef and my mama will membebel and saying that we “main-main kat dapur dia, padahal dia tak sedar anak dia yang sorang ni dah layak nak kawin dan duduk kat dapur”..hehe

7 years old Iman Najwa

I admit that not all recipes that I've done turned out well but mostly it can be eaten so i guess that's why la mama called it 'main-main' (hehe~ sorry Ma)

I really love to bake and it’s the most common thing I’ll do.. One of our favourite recipe that I've mastered without any guided and its really turned out well every single time is chocolate cake.. Even my mama can’t do like mine and my sister salute me (hehehe~ masuk bakul angkat sendiri)..

I've prepared few pics so that u can see and know how delicious it is and I’m not joking. Last Raya Haji I’ve made this.. check it out~

In the refrigerator, ready to be eaten~ yummy~

Beautiful perfect~

yummy~

I called it Magnum Choc Cake because it’s look like Magnum Ice-cream (isn’t it??)

*drool~drool*

Maybe you guys wonder about the recipe right? Of course I’ll share it..

Magnum Choc Cake Recipe:-
1 packet of butter (room temperature)
1 ½ cups of castor sugar
5 big eggs /6 small eggs (room temperature)
1 tea spoon of vanilla extract
1 cup of cocoa powder
2 cups of all-purpose flour/cake flour
1 table spoon of soda bicarbonate
1 can of evaporated milk

Topping:-
 Sweetened cooking chocholate
Butter
milk
Almonds

Steps :-
1-In the mixer, mix butter and sugar until it became smooth and light yellow.
2-Add an egg and mix carefully, continue adding the eggs one by one so that it will not lumpy/curdy or else your cake will not come out nicely.
3-Add the vanilla extract.
4-      After that, sieve cocoa powder and add it into the batter. Mix them until it became nice but carefully not to over mix the batter.
5-      In another dry bowl, mix all-purpose flour and soda bicarbonate then, sieve them to make it smooth and no lumpy flour.
6-      Alternately adding the flour mixture and evaporated milk into the batter. Continue until all the ingredient is finish.
7-      Rub the cake mould with butter and cover the mould with paper to prevent the cake from sticking to the mould.
8-      Bake the cake at 150-180 degree Celsius for about 40-45 minutes or until it fully cooked. To  check either the cake is cooked or not, poke with fork. If the fork come out clean, so it’s already cooked. Let it cooled to room temperature before adding topping.
9-      For the topping, just simply melt the cooking chocolate and butter by using double boiled method. Add milk. If the chocolate look stiff add butter until it became shiny and not too thick. The amount of the chocolate and butter is according to the size of your cake..
10-   Spread the hot topping on the cake and decorate the cake with chopped almond.

So that’s my recipe, hope you guys enjoy..
Good luck and I wish it’ll turn out well and deliciously.
That’s all, anneyonghi gyeseyo~<3^^..

Few months ago she’s having a decease, not sure what is it but she’s got 2 injections and that’s make her smooth and silky furs fall. Seriously I’m even thinking she’s gonna be bald (hehe)..

Her furs fall like a human with hair falls after having chemotheraphy treatement, I’m really worried..

Ya! Where's your smooth and silky furs go??

Can't sit still~ never!!
